Tag my folksonomy

Folksonomies, conjures up an image of two very bad things - Folk music and something else which i can't quite put my finger on...something related to folk music, therefore, very bad. Anyway, i know nothing about folksonomies and after reading the information on license to test drive, i am still somewhat convinced it has to do with folk music. Del.icio.us was interesting, the website was so cute and i love the url because its so clever. Maybe ted.io.us would be another good URL. This is definitely one form of web technology which would benefit a library. The fact that all the desired information is crammed onto one site would be very handy. It appears libraries are using this site to collect websites that could supply information on other libraries and sites that could supply information that would benefit customers.
