Wikis
watching Common Crafts Wikis was....interesting. I've never really seen the purpose in wikis, but it's good to fully understand how it all works. i also had a look at some of the wiki websites such as wet paint and atwiki. all very interesting. Montana History wiki was actually interesting, it had some pretty unusual facts on it. Book Lovers wiki was good too, as was Possible next generation catalogue. I also added a comment to the wet paint blog. done.
Flickrr
I often used flickr for school assignments so i know my way around. I love this site because the photography is usually pretty insane. The mosman library is really great and there are some really interesting images of it. The images i found of Coolum and Coolum Library were also really interesting. I decided to look up weather for my blog. A boring conversation topic, but a good one for an image. This is the image i decided to use: I think it makes quite a statement...
Getting my 'L' Plates..again
I watched Stephen Fry discuss 2.0 as well as looking at several of the websites recommended. The John Oxley Blog and the OPal Training blogs were interesting and it was good to see how blogs can be used for library purposes. I am a Gen Y so i don't really need to learn about blogs, but nevertheless I am required to do so. I think that Blogs for the library are a good way to keep staff up to date and in contact.
